U.S.-Pakistan Leaders Forum Launched!

The U.S.-Pakistan Leaders Forum was successfully launched February 17-19, 2011 with an inaugural meeting at the Lahore University of Management Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan.  A diverse group of 40 civil society leaders from the U.S. and Pakistan came together for three days of facilitated discussion on a variety of topics from perceptions of each society to the role of the media in the U.S.-Pakistan relationship to the opportunities for civil society partnerships between the two countries.  The working groups on Agriculture and Education (both Primary/Secondary and Higher Education) came up with numerous concrete ideas for collaborative efforts between organizations at the table.  Watch this space for more information, including the formal meeting summary, to be posted soon.
